Route description

On the N359, take the exit for Hindeloopen, drive straight on. Eventually you will reach a junction. Follow the bend to the left (over the Hindeloopen ring-road). At the end of the ring-road (by the dyke) turn right towards Hindeloopen centre.

To the Hylper Huis:

Then take the 3rd street on the right and follow it. When you cross the bridge, take the road to the left. (Not “de Klintjes”, directly after the bridge, but the next left!). At the end of the street, you will see two green fences (on your left is the “de twee hondjes” kennels, and on your right, “het Likhús”). Behind these two green fences (on the Hylper Huis terrain), you can park your car for free.

On departure, you don’t need to drive all that way back, just follow the road so you can exit the terrain at the rear and follow the bend to the right. If you follow this road, you will come out by the Oude Hindelooper marina. Turn right here and follow this road until you eventually reach the N359.

To the closely-located public car park:

You can park in the public car parks on both sides of Hindelooper town: at ‘de Mekuljes’ car park (in the direction of Jachthaven Hindeloopen) or by the Hindelooper church. Both car parks are indicated with signs. Parking at the Hindelooper church is free. From here, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the Hylper Huis. Hindeloopen itself is vehicle restricted. Loading and unloading at the Hylper Huis is permitted. Would you like to park closer to the Hylper Huis, due to mobility issues, for example?
